Laser drilling is a technology that enables non-contact drilling without applying force to the workpiece. The laser drilling specialists at RJ Lasertechnik use extremely flexible and slim laser optics to carry out laser drilling even in hard-to-reach places.

Our range of laser drilling services is extremely versatile and comprehensive:

  • Angled holes at less than 25° to the surface
  • Bore diameters from 30 µm with tolerances < 10 µm
  • Percussion drilling up to approx. 350 µm diameter
  • Drilling frequency up to 1,000 holes per second
  • Aspect ratios up to 30:1
  • Material thicknesses from 0.005 to 4 mm
  • Maximum dimensions of 2,000 x 500 x 300 mm
  • Angled holes up to 65° to the vertical
  • Smallest heat-affected zone

This means that the finest drill holes can be produced with extreme aspect ratios and minimal heat input. Our modern production facilities are characterized by consistently high quality standards in laser drilling precision machining.

The latest generation of laser beam sources in combination with high-precision movement systems enables the production of micro-perforated structures with high reproducibility and cost-effectiveness. RJ Lasertechnik uses both the percussion and trepanning drilling processes. In our production, steels, stainless steels, non-ferrous metals and ceramic materials can be drilled with the laser.
